Hot Gossip were a dance troupe who appeared regularly on the extremely popular UK comedy music program The Kenny Everett Video Show. In this segment, they dance to Nick Gilder's Hot Child in the City, with some of the girls passing by a bookstore that displays comic books, including SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES 241 and 242.

SERIES 3, EPISODE 3 (1980)
In this episode, Hot Gossip writhe to Blondie's The Hardest Part, cavorting in a New York subway reading comics and committing acts of vandalism. A young Bob Geldof reads LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES 259.
